Mogosoaia is a neighborhood to the Northwest of Bucharest, just outside the city limits. Big attraction in the area is the lake and the palace which are weekend destinations for many people living in the city. From a commute point of view, it makes sense for people who work either downtown or in the west of the city as the Metro station Lac Straulesti offers pretty quick access to either points of the compass, or you can also take the city`s Ring Road and get to the office in Militari neighborhood (commercial area in the west of Bucharest). School commute to the new German School in the Bucurestii Noi neighborhood (closest international school) is going to be 25 minutes in traffic. You could also take the Ring Road in a western direction and be at the American School campus in about 30 minutes. Mogosoaia is composed of mostly local families and good value homes on large parcels can be found here.
