The OTHER northern suburb and in many ways a better option on Pipera if truth be told. Within the city limits and in the best district (District 1) so you don`t have any of the same sewage and water quality issues that plague Pipera. Also, commute times into the city are a bit better given you are already in the city. Baneasa has nice houses, compound living and good apartment options at decent prices. It is still suburban living, so a car is really necessary, but its somehow more comfortable an option than Pipera. Schools in the neighborhood include King`s Oak British Primary (which the British expats living in Bucharest rate as the most authentic British school), the French School and in 2019 the new German International School.
