Property Description: We love this apartment. We saw it two years ago when the owners invited us over for dinner to see their renovated space and we were absolutely charmed. The apartment is a beautiful example of life in the golden age of Romania when the capital city was awash with money and cultural influence from France and Germany. The building was originally built as a small apartment block for one family (Austrian doctors) and the common spaces are in good condition. The apartment is about 85% original, cleaned, restored and glorious, but the bathrooms and the kitchen are spacious and modern. The apartment is 145 sqm which is large for a two bedroom unit, which are normally between 90 - 120 sqm and it boasts two bedrooms, a study and separate living-room and dinning room which are connected through floor to ceiling French doors with their original crystal glass still intact. The kitchen is large (about 15 sqm) and there is a reception space as well as two bathrooms (a bathroom and a separate toilet). There is a reserved parking space in the courtyard, but the owners have always just parked in the street.

Neighborhood Description: A very quiet street of similar proportioned mansions and blocks from the same period, but literally a block or two from the hustle and bustle of the busy shopping and restaurant districts and boulevards and it is a 15 minute walk to the University Metro Station. The apartment is in the old Armenian neighborhood and it`s one of our favorites because of the lack of communist blocks, great shops, restaurants and ateliers to discover - very popular with artists, young professionals and media types.
