Neighborhood Description: We just love Domenii. This tree-lined neighborhood of beautiful old mansions reminds us a lot of Dorobantii, but without the sticker shock. The neighborhood is a better jumping off spot for families with children attending the international schools than Dorobanti because of the quick access to the Baneasa highway. The neighborhood enjoys one of the best farmer`s markets in the city and some of the more interesting cross section of restaurants including the only Thai restaurant in the city, a couple of very good Lebanese, a Korean and even a Peruvian restaurant that we haven`t yet tried. It is also very close to Herastrau Park (about 6 minutes walk) and the open air swimming pool and clay tennis courts of the Strandul Tineretului Park.
